Procurement can make a significant difference by adding value to an organisations purchase decision making process. Every pound saved through effective purchasing helps stretch funds to meet service delivery demands.

Given the significant downward pressure on local and central government budgets of 25% and more, the strategic importance of procurement to an Organisations’ financial well-being becomes self-evident.

If managed well Procurement can make a significant contribution to achieve savings and provide opportunities for added leverage with Suppliers. With the economic challenges that lie ahead, we need to harness greater collaboration.

Nacro’s National Procurement Manager has built up a portfolio of supplies and services contracts as well as introducing a modern, up to date purchasing policy, practice and procedures and is interested in developing this service to assist other smaller charities who do not employ a procurement specialist.

BVSC in partnership with NAVRO are running a FREE half day training session which will discuss issues such as:

2. How to purchase effectively

3. Examples of how Nacro has achieved savings and

4. Procurement Collaboration & Buying Groups – ways to maximise spend and obtain further savings .
